O-1 Fee-Back Guarantee: How It Works
If USCIS denies an O-1 petition Lando filed, Lando refunds its fee. See what is covered, what is not, and how to claim it, before you hire anyone.
Quick answer. If USCIS denies a petition that Lando filed for you, Lando refunds its fee for that petition. Lando only files petitions it believes are ready, and responses to a Request for Evidence are included in the fee. No one can promise USCIS's decision, and this page does not.
What is covered
- Lando's fee for the petition USCIS denied.
- RFE responses are already included in the fee, so a denial does not leave you paying twice.
What is not covered
- USCIS government filing fees, including the optional premium processing fee. These are paid to USCIS and are not part of Lando's fee.
How to claim
Write to hello@trylando.com to request a refund. The full wording is in section 4 of the Terms of Service.
How to compare any guarantee
Whoever you hire, ask for the answers in writing:
- What exactly is refunded: all fees or only some, and are government fees included?
- Which outcomes trigger it: a denial only, or also an RFE, a notice of intent to deny, or a withdrawal?
- What conditions or exclusions apply to you?
- How and how fast is the refund paid?
- Does it apply to every plan, or only to some?
Why a guarantee
You pay one flat fee, and if USCIS denies the petition, you get that fee back. It also gives Lando a reason to file only strong petitions, which is why the first step is an honest evaluation, with no retainer and no commitment.
Common questions
Does Lando publish an approval rate?
No. No one can guarantee a USCIS decision, and past results do not guarantee future outcomes.
Are USCIS fees refunded?
No. USCIS government filing fees are paid to USCIS, are not part of Lando's fee, and are not covered by the guarantee.
Is this legal advice?
No. Lando is not a law firm. Petitions are prepared in coordination with licensed U.S. immigration attorneys.
